OUR APPROACH

Though there has been an increasing awareness about Organic foods over the past few years, it has not really reached the consumer due to a variety of reasons. The lack of availability and high price has put Organic foods beyond the reach of the consumer. In order to bridge the gap in prices between organic groceries and the conventional ones available in supermarkets, organic 360° approach has been to work towards building a relationship directly with the farmers, cutting out the middlemen and thus offering Organic Foods at almost the same rates as the conventional food available in supermarkets. Also in order to enable consumers to convert to an organic life style, at organic 360°, wheat & Rice (the staple food in India) is offered without any profit to the organization. Thus 100% organic certified wheat & rice is being offered to consumers at almost the same rate as conventional rice available in supermarkets. This is only the beginning; we will introduce many more offers in future, to help people adopt organic life style without any hesitation.

SIRIDHANYA MILLETS

The millet man of India DR. KHADAR VALI. Recognised by award of Krishi Ratna for his remarkable and noble work done in farming and for farmers. Dr. Khadar vali is from Proddutur town, Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh. Dr. Khader Vali (60) has been working relentlessly in revivingSiridhanya millets for nearly 20 years. After having completed a Mastersin Science (with a specialization in Education) from the RegionalInstitute of Education, Mysuru, he went on to get his PHD. fromthe Indian Institute of Sciences, Bengaluru, for his work involvingsteroids. He married his classmate Ms. Usha.Dr. Khadar pursued his postdoctoral research fellowship inenvironmental science from Beaverton Oregon, United States ofAmerica. His research involved deactivating deadly chemicalsubstances such as Agent Orange (Dioxin) at a time when foodwas being rapidly commercialized.After completing his postdoctoral research at Beaverton, Dr. Khadarfelt that instead of working in a foreign country for a living, itwould be meaningful to strive toward making a healthier societyin his own country. Therefore, he returned to India from the US in1997 and settled down in Mysore. He worked hard to revive fivedifferent types of millets that were fast disappearing.In the process of consuming each of these millets, he discovered that the healing properties present in them could cure evendeadly diseases. Hence, he named these five millets Siridhanya.In order to cultivate them naturally, Dr. Khadar propoundeda method called "Kadu Krishi" (Jungle Farming). He has beentreating (practices homeopathy; not formally) his patients for theirdiseases by recommending the consumption of Siridhanya, different plant/tree leaf decoctions, and homeopathic medicine in dire cases.He is of the firm opinion that paddy rice, wheat, milk, non-vegetarian food, untimely eating habits, genetically modified crops,3chemical fertilizers, synthetic pesticides, and herbicides are instrumental in polluting the environment and food, thereby leading tothe quick spread of lethal diseases.Dr. Khadar claims that the consumption of Siridhanya canfacilitate the prevention and cure of diabetes, hypertension,obesity,constipation, piles, gangrene, triglycerides, PCOD, low spermcount, skin diseases, kidney, and thyroid-related disorders.Siridhanya also prevents brain and blood-related diseases.He is adored by the people of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh,and Telangana alike, and pulls big crowds to his food/health talksin these places.Dr. Khadar is connecting all the dots. Not only he iseducating people about health, but he is also educating farmersabout cultivation and teaching them how to adapt preventivemethods in farming. He is also contributing to the preservation ofwater and nature. People often have the misconception thatDr. Khadar is speaking only about health; however, he speaks abouta wide range of topics, with health being just one aspect.
